As a 22-year-old multiple winner of several European competitions, violinist Polina Bolotova has been invited to perform as a soloist at the Shostakovich Philharmonic's Great Hall with the St. Petersburg Philharmonic and in the House of Composers, Beloselsky- Belozersky Palace and the St. Petersburg chapel. After receiving support from the Gartow Foundation she was invited to give several concert tours in Switzerland and Germany.
As the scholarship recipient of the St. Petersburg Philharmonic Society, Polina Bolotova completed her studies at the St. Petersburg Conservatory, Rimsky Korsakov with Prof. Alexander Stang and is currently studying at the Joseph Haydn Conservatory in Eisenstadt with Prof. Kandinsky.
Highlights of the prizes she received include the M. Mazur International Youth Competition, XXIst Century Art (Ukraine, 2005), Gartow Competition and International Forums Festival Competition in St. Petersburg), VI Mravinsky International Competition - 1st Prize, Andrea Postacchini Competition.
Her live recording of the complete violin works of Johannes Brahms with pianist Jonathan Floril will be internationally released under the Mahler Artists label.
