BIOGRAPHY

Dramatic Coloratura Soprano, Marianna Prizzon has been praised by her extraordinary bel canto technique, wide-ranging voice and extraordinary agility and is internationally regarded as one of the finest sopranos of our time. Since her international debut at Grimaldi Forum Montecarlo with Maestro Luciano Pavarotti, broadcasted by RAI, Pavarotti canta Verdi, she has been a featured artist of some of the most prestigious opera houses and concert venues worldwide. 

Her artistic collaborations with singers include Renata Scotto, Edda Moser, Katia Ricciarelli, Raina Kabaivanska, Renato Bruson, Leo Nucci, Paolo Gavanelli and most recently with Giacomo Aragall and Marcello Giordani. As a laureate of XII Concorso Lirico Internazionale Mario Lanza, highlights of previous seasons include concert appearance at the Mozarteum Grosser Saal as part of the 2011 Salzburger Festspiele, Opera de Massy in Paris, Teatro Sociale of Como, Teatro degli Arcimboldi in Milan, Teatro Grande in Brescia, Teatro Goldoni in Livorno, Teatro Alighieri in Ravenna, Teatro Ponchielli in Cremona, Teatro Fraschini in Pavia, Arena Alpe Adria in Lignano, Parco della Musica in Rome, Teatro Verdi in Trieste, Hanauer Theater in Frankfurt, Musikverein and Schönbrunner Schlosstheater in Vienna and Herkulessaal in Munich, as well as concert appeareances as a soloist in Beethoven´s 9th Symphony at Sejong Center for the Performing Arts in Seoul, Verdi's Requiem at the Bach Festival in Arnstadt and a recent appearance at Carnegie Hall's Isaac Stern Auditorium with Marcello Giordani.

Soprano Marianna Prizzon´s extensive career in the opera stage include the roles of Suzel in L’amico Fritz, Adina in Elisir d’ amore, Queen of the Night in Die Zauberflöte, Norina in Don Pasquale, Rosina in Il barbiere di Siviglia, Elettra in Idomeneo, Konstanze in Die Entfürung aus dem Serail, Donna Elvira, Donna Anna in Don Giovanni, Fiordiligi in Così fan tutte, and most recently Lucia in Lucia di Lammermoor, Mimì in La Bohème, Gilda in Rigoletto, Violetta in La Traviata, Nedda in Pagliacci, Iphigénie in Iphigenie en Tauride, Semiramide in Semiramide, Norma in Norma, Cio-Cio-San in Madama Butterfly, Adriana in Adriana Lecouvreuer, Maddalena in Andrea Chénier, Gioconda in La Gioconda, Elvira in Ernani, Giovanna in I vespri siciliani, Leonora in Il Trovatore & La forza del destino, Elisabetta in Don Carlo,
Desdemona in Otello and Aida in Aida.

"Regina della serata la stupenda voce fi M.P. una violetta che ha saputo interpretare in modo intenso le varie sfumature del personaggio principe dell'opera nel corso di tutti e 3 gli atti. Di particolare intensità il popolarissimo "amami Alfredo" dove con un cambio di vocalità perfettamente aderente al senso musicale proposto, ha saputo rendere emozionante il famoso "grido d'amore verdiano".
